About Midcoast Wood Bank

Our History

Our brief  history starts in 2023 with an individual who started the Cumberland Wood Bank in 2007.  We operate under the Frank Knight Foundation as a 501c3 non-profit and are part of the wood bank network in Maine and the USA.

Our Mission

"For our neighbors to eliminate having to choose between  whether to eat or heat"

Our Products

We offer a wide variety of firewood from seasoned hardwood to kindling. Our firewood is primarily used for fuel assistance for temporary relief for those in need.  Our surplus and green wood is sold at or above current market prices with 100% of the revenue going to alternate fuel for those who can't burn wood.

Our Service

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service. Our team is knowledgeable and friendly, and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have.  We offer delivery for qualified recipients of free wood and loading at a scheduled time and location.

Frequently Asked Questions
